Jayne King

Jayne was appointed as a Member Nominated Director on 1st October 2025 and sits on the Funding Committee and the Remuneration and Appointments Committee.
 
Her professional career involved strategic financial management and corporate governance positions in large, complex and multi-disciplined organisations across a number of sectors including culture and heritage, social housing, care, criminal justice, and education. In 2023, Jayne retired from the role as Director of Finance for the British Library which she had held for eight years. 
 
Jayne is a Non-Executive Senior Independent Director and Trustee of the Heart of Yorkshire Group overseeing Castleford, Selby and Wakefield Colleges and chairs their Audit Committee and the Remuneration Committee. Jayne is also a Trustee of the Think Ahead Charity and chairs their Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.
 
Jayne is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant, gained an MBA from the University of Durham, and is a qualified personal performance coach.
