TPTIM launches new £600m Global Equity Fund for DB members
TPT Investment Management (TPTIM), the investment management arm of TPT Retirement Solutions, announces that it has launched a new Global Equity Fund (‘the Fund’) for UK pension schemes. The collective investment vehicle will be available through TPT’s own Fiduciary Management service and has been seeded with £600m of capital from TPT’s DB master trust.
The new Fund aims to address the evolving needs of pension schemes to find reliable, attractive returns amid a continually evolving regulatory backdrop and increasing global market dislocation. The Fund offers diversified access to global equities through a blend of specialist active managers and a low-carbon transition passive strategy, with a clear objective of delivering long-term outperformance of the MSCI All Country World Index.
The fund benefits from TPTIM’s scale to offer exposure to attractive risk premia that would otherwise be inaccessible and is the seventh fund to be launched by TPT to date. These new, collective investment vehicles have been designed by TPTIM to provide pension schemes with easy access to a wide range of investment strategies. They enable pension schemes joining TPT to immediately achieve scale benefits across asset classes, by aggregating with the assets in its own master trust.
Access to the new funds is available through TPT’s fiduciary management service, which aims to build on TPT’s successful model of consolidation. The service enables schemes to benefit from increased diversification, better value through economies of scale, high quality governance, and ongoing investment expertise.
Commenting on the launch of the fund, Peter Smith, Investment Director at TPT Investment Management, said:
"We’re delighted to introduce this new fund to help widen our offering at TPTIM. It will help to further diversify TPT’s offering to members and schemes, while also continuing to expand our extensive suite of consolidation solutions. The new fund complements TPT’s existing collective investment vehicles, offering schemes access to scale, diversification, and the ability to build solutions targeted to their specific financial objectives and risk preferences.
Consolidation is at the heart of our offering at TPT, and this fund launch exemplifies our commitment to providing market leading products that put members first and provide schemes with access to the benefits of scale across DB, DC and CDC.
The fund launch follows the unveiling of our new DC proposition earlier this year, which gives members access to a straightforward, sustainable stream of income in retirement, alongside digital tools that will help individuals make pension choices more easily than ever.”
Commenting on the launch of the fund, Nic Ashworth, Investment Operations Director at TPT Investment Management, said:
“The TPT Global Equity Fund release completes our seventh fund launch, which along with our bespoke LDI funds can provide our clients with a tailored and diversified portfolio across a wide range of asset classes covering both public and private markets. All our funds are open-ended unitised structures which provide access to schemes of all sizes, and flexibility across product sets, end-game solutions and scheme strategies.“
