We’re introducing new ways to invest in a sustainable future with 6 new self-select pension funds, available for members of TPT’s defined contribution schemes from the 30th of September 2023. These funds are designed to give you greater freedom when it comes to taking control of your pension investments.
This new range of self-selected funds provides you with greater choice in relation to socially responsible investment strategies, such as low-carbon-emitting or positive-impact investing.
What are these new funds?
Our new self-select funds are as follows:
- TPT Global Impact Bond Fund
The Fund is actively managed and seeks to understand the world’s social and environmental problems and to identify and invest primarily in debt issued by companies and organisations that we believe are addressing these needs in different ways through their core products, services and projects. Through the Fund’s investments, we seek to improve access to, and the quality of, basic life essentials, reduce inequality and mitigate the effects of climate change. The Fund seeks to deliver long-term total returns in excess of the Bloomberg Global Aggregate Index (USD hedged).
- TPT UK Equity Fund
The investment objective of the Fund is to track the performance of the FTSE All-Share Index (less witholding tax where applicable) to within +/- 0.25% p.a. for two years out of three.
- TPT Emerging Markets Equity Fund
The investment objective of the Fund is to track the performance of the Solactive L&G ESG Emerging Markets Index (less witholding tax where applicable) to within +/- 0.60% p.a. for two years out of three.
- TPT Global Corporate Bond Fund
The Fund seeks to track the performance of an index composed of investment grade corporate bonds from issuers in emerging and developed markets.
- TPT Low Carbon Transition Global Equity Fund
The investment objective of the Fund is to track the performance of the Solactive L&G Low Carbon Transition Global Index - GBP Hedged (less withholding tax where applicable) to within +/- 0.60% p.a. for two years out of three.
- TPT Global Impact Equity Fund
To outperform (after deduction of costs) the MSCI ACWI Index, as stated in sterling, by at least 2% per annum over rolling five-year periods.
The manager believes this is an appropriate target given the investment policy of the Fund and the approach taken by the manager when investing. In addition, the manager believes an appropriate performance comparison for this Fund is the Investment Association Global Sector. There is no guarantee that this objective will be achieved over any time-period and actual investment returns may differ from this objective, particularly over shorter time-periods.
Why have we introduced these new funds?
At TPT, we are always looking for new ways to empower our members to take control of their investment options. The introduction of these new funds reaffirms our commitment to reviewing our fund range regularly and offering choices in line with TPT’s investment beliefs.
What does this mean for you?
These new funds will enable you to tailor your pension investments to greater reflect your specific beliefs, financial objectives and risk preferences.
If you invest through TPT’S DC default investment strategy, you will not be affected by the introduction of these new self-select funds. If you use the TPT default funds, you already have a fully responsible approach to investment integrated in the strategy with between 5-10% of your pension allocated to impact investments over the long-term.
Change your fund selection online
The new self-select funds will be available from 30th September 2023. You can review and update your fund selection at any time using your online account.
