What is DB Master Trust?
DB Master Trust brings together defined benefit (DB) pension schemes from different, unrelated employers under one expertly managed umbrella.
Our integrated approach brings together fiduciary management, administration, covenant, actuarial, payroll, trusteeship and legal services to streamline operations, with the aim of creating time and cost efficiencies and reducing complexity.
Each employer’s scheme is ring fenced from other schemes within the Master Trust, safeguarding it from other scheme’s liabilities. Schemes are then able to benefit from the efficiencies and robust governance of a larger, consolidated arrangement.
By moving your scheme’s assets and responsibilities into DB Master Trust, you can hand over the day-to-day running to our team of specialists - freeing up resources to focus on other strategic areas.

FAQs

By consolidating into DB Master Trust, schemes benefit from an integrated model that includes investment management services via fiduciary management, administration, actuarial and legal support, helping to streamline operations and potentially reduce running costs and time spent on the scheme by the sponsor.
When a scheme transfers into DB Master Trust, trusteeship is provided within the master trust structure, meaning existing trustees are no longer responsible for the day-to-day running of the scheme in the same way.
