Investment expertise at scale
TPT Investment Management (TPTIM) provides the investment management capabilities that support our pension solutions*.
We're designed around one simple objective: creating long-term value for pension scheme members.
In managing assets across TPT's pension solutions, we benefit from scale that supports access to a broad range of investment strategies.
Our internal market structure can provide additional flexibility when implementing investment decisions, which may help schemes rebalance portfolios more efficiently, manage illiquidity and access certain investment opportunities.
As assets grow, this scale may contribute to operational efficiencies and long-term sustainability, and provide access to a broader range of investment opportunities.
We're part of a profit-for-purpose organisation, which means we're focused on delivering value for the pension schemes and members who rely on us, rather than prioritising returns for external shareholders. That long-term perspective shapes how we invest, how we manage risk and how we build solutions for the future.
Designed to address common challenges
Our fiduciary management service gives schemes direct access to the same investment expertise and implementation capabilities that power TPT's pension solutions.
It is designed to help schemes to address three common challenges faced by trustee boards:
Supporting better outcomes
Pension specialists
We work exclusively with UK pension schemes. That focus gives us a deep understanding of the challenges schemes face, from funding and investment risk to regulatory change and long-term planning. Our approach is designed around the realities of the pensions landscape and the outcomes schemes need to achieve.
Scale delivering opportunities
We make flexible, tailored investment strategies easy to access and simple to manage. Through just eight ‘building block’ funds, schemes of varying sizes can gain exposure to 22 carefully-selected managers, and more than 20 underlying investment strategies, spanning public and private markets.
Alignment by design
As a wholly-owned subsidiary of TPT, our investment decisions are closely connected to the needs of the schemes and members we serve, supporting alignment between investment strategy and long-term member outcomes. Backed by more than 80 years of pensions heritage, we're focused on delivering lasting value rather than short-term commercial gain.
Technology-enabled efficiency
Our modern investment platform combines integrated systems, market data and analytics to support informed decision-making, improved transparency and competitive costs.
At TPTIM, investment decisions aren’t made in isolation. We take full responsibility for the outcomes we deliver, aligning long term investment strategy with the needs of pension schemes and the security of their members.
Responsible investment
We see sustainability and responsible investment (RI) as essential in protecting and growing members’ savings.
We integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into our investment processes as part of our approach to risk management and long-term value creation.
Our dedicated responsible investment team supports initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable investment practices and broader economic resilience.
Talk to our team
TPTIM brings deep experience, scale and accountability to a wide range of pension solutions, helping pension schemes to navigate complexity and focus on long-term outcomes.
Talk to us about your funding objectives, risk appetite and endgame goals, to see how your scheme could perform in the future.
*Our investment management service is available to defined benefit pension schemes, and supports TPT’s proposed multi-employer collective defined contribution (CDC) scheme, pending its assessment by The Pensions Regulator.
The value of investments can go down as well as up, and members may not receive back the full amount invested. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
